Stone Age Weapons 

Stone age weapons are weapons made out of stone and bones, made in the stone age. The stone age lasted for about 2.5 million years, however the neolithic stone age means new stone age about 12,000 years ago. 


Flint 

Where can you find flint? You can find flint as lumps in chalk beds, in Europe and south America. Did flint tools have handles. Yes, they had wooden handles. Why did they use flint? Because   they needed something more then their hands, so they started using the things they had around them. When did stone age people use flint? In the stone age to help them with their everyday life. What did flint do? It was used as a weapon against things, like their enemy and animals for food. They used them to skin animals and cut them in a certain way to make weapons and tools such as arrow heads, swords and axe heads. 


Weapons 
When were weapons invented? The very first ones were around 300,000 BP (before present). But the newer Neolithic stone age was between 10,000 and 3,000 BCE (before the common era).The Neolithic people used stone , bones and wood to make their weapons. In the stone age there was knifes, axes, arrow, hammers, chisels and swords.  the stone age people used weapons so they could get food and to protect themselves. 


Axes and Spears 

Axes and spears were used for many different things in the stone age . Axes and spears were used to skin animals. these weapons were also used to hunt and kill animals. The spear and axe were also used to make other weapons. Axes and spears were made out if flint, bone and wood. They also used fire to help sharpen their tools. They were also used to sharpen weapons. 


The stone age went on for a long time, most of the ages used weapons, animals, bones and their power to create things. Archeologists continue to search to this day. 


Golden frogs 

Golden Frogs are frogs that are critically endangered. Golden frogs are different from other frogs because they are a different species. 

Facts about golden frogs 
Sadlythere are no golden frogs left in the wild because of diseases, habitat loss, illegal pet trade, pollution and climate change. They are the smallest animal in the southern hemisphere. These awesome creatures are known around the world because of their rare hand wave. They also use short chirps to communicate.. 

More about the Golden Frog 
The Golden Frog eats insects and small invertebrates. Golden Frogs are native to Panama. They live near streams or forest floor. They used (when they were in the wild) to live in wet rain forests and cloud forests in the Cordilleran mountains. Golden Frogs are a diurnal, which means they are active during the day. The Golden Frogs main predators are fish, snakes and birds. 

Facts, Facts and more Facts 
Did you know that the male Golden Frog fertilizes about 90 eggs? The Golden frog hides its eggs under rocks to protect the eggs from direct sun light. The eggs are left alone until they hatch. Golden Frogs life span in captivity is 9 years, the life span in the wild is unknown. Golden Frogs are 1-2.5 inches long. The tadpoles are blackish grey on colour. Froglets are green with black markings and the adults are golden. 

 

The different names for Golden Frogs are : Golden Poison Frogs, Golden poison arrow Frog, Golden dart Frog and the science name is Phyllobates Terribillis.

see trees around me as if I was lost in a forest, 
I feel cold water rushing into my gumboots, 
I smell the stink of a dead sheep like standing in front of a rotting possum , 
I taste the cool refreshing air of winter, I hear the water rushing like waves crashing on a beach,
